07/92-present. Regular collaboration with translation agencies and law firms, both in-house and as a contractor; specialising in legal & financial translation.
12/97-present. Founder, director and manager of a UK based translation company, with associates in France, UK, Ghana, and South Africa. Built a 40+ portfolio of regular clients, consisting of both law firms and translation agencies.
12/99-11/00. Created a financial translation bureau in Dakar, Senegal, with 4 in-house associates and 12+ outside, trained to specifications casual fellow contributors. Organized a financial translation training seminar in Dakar in March 2000, led by a French finance specialist and translator. Left a successful legacy of translation bureau format to local co-founder and partner within less than one year.
12/04-06/07. Created a legal and financial translation bureau in Buea, Cameroon, with 4 in-house associates. Organized a financial translation training seminar in Buea in April 2005, led by a Dutch, French-speaking specialist and translator. Organized and facilitated several CAT (Computer Assisted Translation) training seminars in Buea from January 2005 (Wordfast, Trados).
07/07-present. Created a legal and financial translation company in Accra, Ghana. Preparing to offer Business Translation training course for young graduates and non-specialised professional translators, including Law, Finance, Insurance, Marketing, and CAT (Computer Assisted Translation) units. Starting a French conversation courses on phone venture targetting English-speaking middle management to top executives.
